God Inspired.

This a blog for people like me. People, who shun the average, the mediocre and desire to stand out and up for what they believe.
NiD is more than just a weblog. It’s a lifestyle reference point for people who consider themselves faith-filled, culturally savvy and socially aware.

Following up on our recent coverage of this year’s 2011 Year of the Rabbit Air Force 1 Supreme comes a more in-depth look into the commemorative sneaker. A look at the exclusive packaging links some of the design executions with the inspirations for the sneaker. Together with an interesting material contrast, candy shaped packaging and printed packaging paper, this all makes for one of the more memorableYear of the… releases over the course of the sneaker’s last few releases.

The Nike Air Force 1 Supreme “Year of the Rabbit” will release with the special packaging seen here on January 23, 2011 with a suggested retail price of ¥2,599 RMB (approximately $393 USD). In addition to showcasing the highlight of this year, a retrospective exhibition involving all the previous Year of the…sneakers was also put on display at the recent Nike Sportswear Spring/Summer 2011 exhibition in Shanghai.

Starting with Patta, the Amsterdam-based retailer developed a strong foothold as a local destination for those looking for their sneaker and streetwear fix. Following natural growth and progression, Patta extended its reach with an all new retail point with Precinct 5. We chopped it up with Timothy Sabojo and Malvin Wix to offer a bit of perspective and history regarding their movement while Masta Lee offers us a short tour of Amsterdam in his everyday travels.
