A couple of months ago (November 8, 2010) I had the privilege of sitting down with Lecrae and Trip Lee of Reach Records to talk about their stories, their music, their theology, and their future. I’ve written more about these guys here.

We talked for about 50 minutes. You can watch the video below. (Many thanks to Jon Marshall and Josh Dennis for doing all the video and editing work for us!) Below that I’ve included a “table of contents.”

For those interested, Lecrae’s new album, The Overdose, becomes available January 11. And here’s a blog post from Trip explaining that he’s taking a break from music to become an intern at Capitol Hill Baptist Church.

I recently heard three of the best albums I’ve heard in a long time.  I cant agree with all the subject matter discussed and how it was presented…however musically, these albums are instant classics.

Real music may just be on its way back…

Photographer and visual artist Jam Sutton recently shot N.E.R.D. for their new album ‘Nothing’, due 2nd November 2010. Jam is from a new generation of creatives. Breaking away from the limiting boundaries of traditional photography, Jam captures his subjects in new and exciting ways. From shooting to post production, Jam is fully hands-on and in control of every artistic aspect, creating his bold recognisable style. Jam collaborated with UK based illustrator Ben Normanton for the ‘Psychic Eye’ graphic as seen in the portrait shots, building upon the famous ‘Star Trak’ hand sign. The shoot took place in Manchester (UK) and NYC whilst the group were on tour, the first many artistic collaborations between Jam x Pharrell

“Name above all names,
Worthy of all praise;
My heart will sing
how great is our God!
Name above all names,
You are worthy of all praise
and my heart will sing
how great is our God!

How great is our God,
Sing with me!
How great is our God,
and all will see!
How great,
How great is our God!
